Ever since I was nine-years-old and read about Gertrude Stein and Sylvia Beach living and holding court with the likes of Hemingway, Picasso and F. Scott Fitzgerald, I yearned to someday live in Paris. In 1993, that dream came true, with the help of some savings, fluency in French thanks to an education at the Lyçée Français de New York, and the chance to live with another French woman who happened to be very beautiful and very chic. The day I turned 39, she advised me to head to Monoprix to buy some anti-wrinkle moisturizer! Although I didn't take the hin at the time, I later realized it was the initiation into being a true Parisienne!
In 1998, when I created my first Website (www.frenchlinks.com) I linked it to the first E-book on Paris shopping: Best Buys to French Chic, The Insider's Savvy Shopping Guide to Paris. In this book, I explain how you can save money in every aspect of your daily life and do it with flair and pleasure.
This is only one of the books that I have had the privilege to publish: I have also written a an art and travel series, Little-Known Museums In and Around Paris, London, Berlin and Rome, which you purchase in major bookstores and Websites.
At the same time, I have been developing a business called French Links Tours/Events & Company in Paris that offers high-profile customized tours and events to VIPS including Larry David of Seinfeld fame, author Anna Quindlen, actor Michael Weatherly of NCIS, as well as different political and business luminaries.
I also had the good fortune six years ago to meet and fall in love with a Frenchman, who is my life partner and my best friend.
